GENERAL SUMMARY:
A unique opportunity exists to join a team in creating a vibrant senior learning community on the campus of Purchase College, State University of New York. Job Title: Pool Deck Supervisor Pay Range: $20–$23/hour Schedule: Mornings shift: 9a-12n, S-S. Afternoons M-F 2-5p. Location: Broadview Senior Living at Purchase College
Position Overview:
Broadview Senior Living is seeking a reliable and attentive Pool Deck Supervisor to oversee the pool area and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and guests. This is not a lifeguard position, but the ability to maintain visual supervision, enforce rules, and respond appropriately in the event of an emergency is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the pool deck and ensure resident safety during all open swim and class times.
- Enforce pool rules and policies in a respectful and consistent manner.
- Conduct regular headcounts and maintain awareness of all swimmers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly pool deck environment, including set-up and break-down for classes and programs.
- Communicate promptly with the Community Life team regarding safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues.
- Assist instructors and residents as needed with entry, exit, or equipment.
- Provide friendly, courteous presence while monitoring the pool area.
Requirements:
- CPR certification (required by time of hire).
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Comfortable working in warm, humid environments.
- Strong observational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain calm and take appropriate action during an emergency.
- A commitment to safety and community well-being.

Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience working with older adults.
